Spring Wedding at Sugarbush Resort, Vermont

The first day of Spring 2010 not only ushered in a new season here in the north country but it also ushered in the first wedding shoot of the new year.  It felt great to be behind the camera again making images during what is arguably one of the happiest occasions of a our lives.  My clients chose to get married at the Hearthside Inn at Sugarbush Resort in the beautiful Mad River Valley of Vermont.  The location has been a favorite ski and vacation spot of theirs for some time and the groom got a full day of spring corn in before the 6PM ceremony.  The couple had planned a low key affair deciding to forego a formal dinner in favor of an extended cocktail party with amazing hors-devours stations and some fun music and dancing.  They were super laid back and a lot of fun to work with.

Here are some of my favorite images from the wedding.  These particular images are probably far less traditional then what many are used to seeing from a wedding but especially resonate with me, particularly because of the quality of light, story told and/or a unique composition or perspective on the subjects.  Hope you enjoy!
